A new year and I have no idea where I am in terms of WIPs (works in progress).

I still haven’t finished my Saroyan shawl, I have to look at my knit counting app to figure out where I am in the pattern. I just looked at my Ravelry projects page and I think my Saroyan scarf/shawl and my Sargassum scarf  are the only things that I would consider finishing. I have a single sock and a single fingerless mitt but I made the first ones so long ago that I don’t remember what I did in terms of rounds for the cuff, etc. and the last thing I want is to make the second of each of those and to have it turn out different. I also started making a Rebecca Danger monster and I have no clue what happened to the pieces that I had already finished. Oh boy! I don’t know if there is any hope for some of these projects.

Apparently in 2012 I only completed 4 knitting projects, I guess I wasn’t very inspired to knit last year. I think I spent much more of my down time reading. I know I didn’t sew a whole lot either and I know I only cross-stitched a very small piece. Only made a couple of sets of bead stitch markers. I didn’t do very much crafty things last year…

Saroyan WIP

I absolutely need to finish my Saroyan scarf/shawl this year, isn’t it pretty? I think it’s been a WIP since 2011 and I can’t let myself get too far into 2013 without finishing it. Yes, I just checked it’s been a WIP since November 30, 2011. Eep! Okay, I’m hoping to get one repeat done tonight before bed. If I can get a repeat done in a reasonable amount of time then it shouldn’t take me too long to get it finished. After that I can move on to something else. I’m going to try really, really hard to stay focused on finishing the Saroyan but it can be so easy to get distracted with fabric and beads and embroidery floss…
